Atola Insight: Disk Utilities
Atola Insight also includes several disk utilities that can be used to alter the hard drive configuration or research.
Security Features
Atola Insight allows setting and removing of ATA-passwords:
Altering passwords
Removal of unknown passwords is also available (on a separate form).
Current monitor
5V and 12V currents are monitored via Atola DiskSense unit. This data not only serves as a short-circuit protection, but also used for hard drive diagnostics (to detect frozen motor, fried PCB, etc). Atola Insight includes a current monitor/oscilloscope that allows the operator to keep an eye on hard drive power consumption levels:

Atola Insight allows altering most hard drive parameters:
- Maximum LBA sectors (capacity limit)
- SMART feature sets
- Streaming feature set
- 48-bit LBA feature set
- HPA (Host Protected Area feature set)
- AAM (Automatic Acoustic Management feature set)
- Command queuing feature sets
- Power saving feature sets
- Security feature sets
- MWDMA and UDMA feature sets
Device Configuration Overlay
Disk Editor
Disk Editor allows accessing any sector of a hard drive to view or modify it. While currently we do not have plans regarding this feature, we will listen to the feedback from our customers to find out what functionality is needed in the Disk Editor.
