As we welcome 2026, it’s time to look back at everything the Atola team achieved in 2025. This was a year of product breakthroughs, customer engagement, team growth, and new ways in which we support the digital forensics community.
From major firmware releases and a record number of trainings, to an exciting Product Hunt milestone and dozens of international conferences and meetings, 2025 was one of the most dynamic years in Atola’s history.
Here is what made it special.
Product Highlights of 2025
This year brought several key updates across our product line with features shaped directly by customer feedback, interviews, and hands-on sessions in forensic labs worldwide.
Atola TaskForce 1 & 2: Firmware 2025.4 and 2025.11
Two major firmware releases expanded TaskForce’s capability, performance and automation:
TaskForce 2025.4
This release included dozens of features including:
- iSCSI support for imaging remote devices
- New built-in HEX Viewer
- Smarter RAID autodetection with support for missing Synology NAS drives
- Improvements to logical imaging and diagnostics

TaskForce 2025.11
By popular demand, ZFS is here! We also paid attention to the requests to support LDAP authentication in 2025.11:
- System-wide ZFS support
- LDAP authentication for centralized, server-side user rights management
- Pinning frequently used folders for faster network navigation
- Smarter Estimated time left for damaged drives
- Numerous improvements across imaging, reports, and network connectivity to make these tasks easier

These releases brought TaskForce another step closer to being a fully integrated, automation-ready forensic solution handling a wide range of media and operating systems.
Insight Forensic: Major 5.7 Update
Insight Forensic received one of its most significant upgrades in the recent years with new great capabilities:
- Logical Imaging with smart filters for easy data selection
- Better performance on NVMe
- Improved BitLocker analysis
- LVM/Btrfs support
- Numerous enhancements for iSCSI workflows
- New multi-launch menu for quick launch of all operations for image files
Launch of MultiDrive, Our New Consumer Tool
One of the most exciting moments of 2025 was the launch of MultiDrive, the free disk management tool for everyday users and professionals alike. Released in April, MultiDrive brought to life an idea that had been growing inside Atola: essential drive operations should be simple, accessible, and free for everyone.
Built on our deep forensic and data recovery expertise, MultiDrive introduced a clean interface with powerful features for backing up, cloning, and erasing drives. It comes without ads, limits, or upsells.
From the very first week, the MultiDrive gained extraordinary traction, with tens of thousands of downloads and enthusiastic response from both home users and IT professionals.

TaskForce 2 Video Release
This year we also released an all-new TaskForce 2 product video, showcasing its design, workflow, and advanced capabilities. A big milestone for our marketing and education efforts.

Partnerships & Upcoming Hardware
Partnerships
2025 was also a year of deeper collaboration within the digital forensics ecosystem.
We initiated several new partnerships with other vendors in the industry. We hope these collaborations will bring improvements through integrations, smoother workflows, and expanded capabilities for our users.
These joint initiatives are underway now and will be formally announced throughout 2026.
We’re excited to share more soon.

Three New Hardware Products Underway!
Our hardware team has been incredibly productive this year. We currently have three new products in the making, each designed to address real-world workflows:
- Two of them are nearly ready and will be released very soon
- One major project is progressing steadily and will add to Atola’s product line
From high-speed network extension to advanced NVMe solution and a new portable imaging concept, 2026 will be a major year for hardware innovation at Atola.

A Year of Exceptional Customer Engagement
2025 set a new benchmark for customer interactions.
22 Conferences Worldwide
In 2025, Atola participated in 22 conferences and expos, our largest footprint yet. We travelled across North America, Europe, Africa, and Brazil.
Each conference brought invaluable conversations, customer insights, and new partnerships. We are grateful to the organizers of these events for a great opportunity to reach new audiences!

Dozens of Presentations & Demos
Alongside formal trainings, we held:
- dozens of demo sessions,
- numerous customer interviews,
- hands-on workshops,
- remote consultations and technical deep-dives.
This direct dialogue shaped our development roadmap throughout the year.
