We have just released Atola Insight 2.6, and this latest version offers you new opportunities, great new features, and improvements.

File Recovery Improvements

File recovery is a part of Atola Insight that provides extracting files from a damaged hard drive. In this release we have added great new features that will help you to work more efficiently with files.

Status for each file

The File Recovery screen now shows status of each file in the file browser, such as what percentage of file was imaged without errors. With just a glance you could see which files are damaged and to what degree.

File Map

It is now very easy to find out the exact part of a file that wasn't imaged correctly. With one click, you have access to the file's sector map. In this map you will see a colored graphic representation of all parts of the file that were imaged correctly as well as what parts were not imaged due to bad sectors, etc. It allows you to very quickly estimate the file's "health".

File Lists

Starting from this version, Atola Insight has the ability to create lists of files specifying the status of each file. After creation, the list may be presented to the customer for a review, and the customer will be able to tell whether all important files are fully recovered or not.

ExFAT Support

Atola Insight now supports the ExFAT file system, which means that you can recover files from any popular file system: NTFS (all versions), ExFAT, FAT32, FAT16, Ext 2/3/4, HFS, HFS+, and HFSX.

Fantastic Performance Enhancements

1. The imaging speed for DiskSense Ethernet is increased by almost double compared to previous versions – up to 180MB/sec

   This makes Atola Insight with DiskSense Ethernet the fastest data recovery solution in the market to date.

   Cutting the time spent imaging damaged drives is an effective way to reduce costs and improve overall productivity of your data recovery business.

2. The algorithms for working with severely damaged drives were reworked. All processes that deal with damaged disks (such as Imaging, File Recovery, Firmware Recovery, etc.) run much faster and more efficient now on DiskSense Ethernet. This can save you a lot of time while working with drives that are slow to respond or freeze often.
3. Work with IDE drives was improved. The IDE port on the DiskSense Ethernet unit was historically slower than SATA. In the latest release, we improved the code for the IDE port, so no additional delays or slowdowns should be expected when working with IDE hard disks.
4. Excited about great performance improvements, we went one step further and reworked the Atola Insight user interface. Now it is so much more responsive!
